Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.

The kitchen is tatty with rusty handles, drawer screwed shut and no handle, a wall cupboard that looks like it’s going g to fall off , an oven and microwave that sound like your at an airport ready to take off. The bathroom is minute and out dated, the window ledge fills with water whilst in the shower, the bath enamel is wearing , blind and shower curtain need replacing as mould is present , more silicone round the bath than you can imagine

unfortunately accommodation although clean is in desperate need of modernization, the kitchen cupboard about to fall off the wall, the cooker - the oven especially - sounds like a badly working tumble dryer!! only used it once as afraid of the noise it made!! The bathroom has more sealant around it than b and q! And walls only part painted! Wardrobes in rooms not much space and one screwed shut as immersion unit in there which sounds like had better days too! so on the whole accommodation experience very poor! Not happy to publish a poor review but in this instance have felt it right to
