About this property

The stylish, three-story property of 2 North Furzeham Road is located the heart of the Devonshire fishing village of Brixham. The house is a stone’s throw away from the harbour, the beach, and a hub of amenities, whilst enjoying gorgeous coastline views and well-appointed living areas, making it an excellent base for a family getaway, accommodating six guests. Before ascending the exterior steps to your elevated perch, park in the private garage. Step inside to access the kitchen/diner, which has seating for six people and all the amenities you'll need for a self-catered stay. Prepare meals and eat inside or head outdoors to take in the scenery on the decked area. Return indoors to catch up on your favourite show while lounging on the plush, velvet sofa or set up a boardgame for a competitive family evening in. As the day gives way to night, travel upstairs to find a king-sized bedroom, a bunk room, and a large bathroom. The master king-size bedroom is on the second story, benefitting from an en-suite shower room, offering best views in the entire house of the breath0taking shoreline; awaken to these expansive views of the turquoise water. Before travelling to the harbour, prepare for the day with a fresh coffee, ahead of discovering a wide variety of stores and restaurants as well as the Brixham Heritage Museum. Alternatively, you may spend the day at Berry Head National Nature Reserve or Churston Cove on the beach. Continue across the coastal route until you reach Paignton, where you can grab some fish and chips to eat by the pier, wander along the golden landscape of Paignton Beach, or visit the popular Paignton Zoo Environmental Park. Along with Torquay, which has the Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves and Torquay Beach nearby, Dartmouth, its castle, and the National Trust nature reserve of Little Dartmouth are also within proximity. The best of the seashore may be found at 2 North Furzeham Road.

On the southern end of Torbay, in the region known as The English Riviera and renowned for its consistently sunny, moderate weather, is Brixham, a working fishing port. A life-size replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship, The Golden Hind, serves as the harbour’s main attraction. Small cottages are found in uphill, winding alleyways in Brixham's finest area, which leads to the bay where the majority of activities takes place. Brixham fish market supplies to prestigious restaurants in the UK and is home to Britain's largest fishing fleet, which routinely lands its catch in the harbour. With numerous family-friendly attractions in and around Torbay, including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo, and numerous regattas and maritime events throughout the year, Brixham is the perfect place to spend a conventional holiday.

Lovely and well maintained the steps leading up to property do need a jet wash but otherwise as described we had a lovely stay and will return

If unable to manage steps or stairs this is not the place for you. Harbour and shops within easy reach. Whilst dog friendly the property is carpeted through out which is difficult to keep clean with wet and muddy paws. Amazing views over the harbour. Plenty of equipment provided and the garage was a bonus. Would recommend highly.

The wonderful view of the harbour never ceased to amaze whatever the time of day or the weather. The house was well set up for a family, and also for a well behaved dog. Will definitely come again. And we are all definitely fitter. Coming from flat East Anglia, the 20 steps to the front door have probably extended my life by months!!
