Spend lazy days on the sandy beach at St Mary's Bay, and happy evenings warming your toes by the chimenea in the cottage’s garden.
Step inside and make your way to the welcoming open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen. Fire up the wood burner and take a moment to make yourself at home before heading to the contemporary-style kitchen area to cook up a storm for your loved ones, which you can all enjoy together at the dining table in front of the French doors that lead out to the garden. Alternatively, step out into the garden, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco on the deck. After dinner, enjoy a glass of wine by the garden’s small water fountain or pretty pond. If it’s a little chilly, fire up the chimenea and watch the stars come out. Back indoors, chill out in front of the TV as the wood burner crackles away in the lounge area, or retire to the snug for a little quiet time with a good book. When the day is done, you’ll find two beautiful bedrooms upstairs to choose from.
Head down to Brixham Harbour (1 mile) and take a boat trip around Torbay or over to the neighbouring towns of Paignton (5.5 miles) or Torquay (8 miles). Or, get into the water and try your hand at kayaking, diving, wild swimming or paddleboarding – there are plenty of local tour providers.
