Tastefully furnished with a New England feel/nautical theme, Seaside Stories is a great place for a proper seaside holiday.
The bustling centre of Brixham is a short walk away and there are some great restaurants, fresh fish sellers and a good range of shops to enjoy. Brixham has been a charming and picturesque working fishing port for centuries, with characteristic fisherman’s cottages clustered around the historic harbour where Prince William of Orange landed in 1688. The town has many attractive, winding narrow streets, with colourful cottages, a wide selection of shops, art gallery, craft shops and various cafés, restaurants, pubs and churches. Brixham’s beaches are a mixture of sand, shingle and large pebbles. The popular open-air sea water swimming pool is surrounded by a shingle and rock beach, which is always popular for rock pooling. Nearby are the wonderful sandy beaches of Broadsands, Goodrington and Paignton. There are lovely coastal footpaths to Berry Head Nature Reserve with its colonies of nesting guillemots and kittiwakes, the Napoleonic fort and the lighthouse. The lighthouse, both the smallest and highest in Britain, enjoys a view that will make you reluctant to leave. The view extends across the town to your left and guests can walk down to the town, harbourside and beaches in 5 minutes. Shops pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Really good location, the views are amazing, comfortable in the house , ideally we would have preferred a sofa (personal choice) but it was nice sitting in the swivel chairs buy the window. Few minor things ,,,,,perhaps some new patio furniture. New shower curtain..get rid of freezer and put a dryer in or even in a weatherproof box outside..overall we would definitely come back

We had a fabulous stay at Seaside Stories. The cottage is lovely and the view from the lounge across the harbour and the bay was so beautiful. Brixham is only a 10 minute downhill walk from the cottage. Uphill on the way back can be quite a challenge. Brixham itself is a lovely working harbour, with some great pubs and restaurants. Our favourites were The Blue Anchor and La Petite Maison. The 2 flights of stairs in the cottage are steep, so would not suit everyone. We have been twice to Seaside Stories and have a great time on both occasions.
