About this property

Holcombe House, a wonderful Victorian villa dating back to the 1860s, seamlessly blends period elegance with modern comfort, offering an exceptional retreat for multi-generational family holidays or large groups of friends. With six double bedrooms and three sitting rooms there is plenty of room for all and it is perfectly located in a peaceful area of Torquay with the beach and the harbour, with its restaurants and bars, easily accessible by foot, car or bus.

Entry is through the front door into the porch with classic Victorian tiling on the floor, Victorian stained glass panels surrounding the internal door and plenty of hooks and space to store coats and shoes. The sun room to the left is set up as a games room with table football and darts as well as a seating area and also contains the washing machine.

Through the internal door into the house is the hall with polished wooden floors.

I would highly recommend a stay at this well equipped, well positioned house which felt very homely.

We were very comfortable and enjoyed its spaciousness and the lovely atmosphere within the main house and the annexe. With a large living room and two smaller sitting rooms, we were happily spoilt for choice! The beaches and tourist attractions nearby were amazing to visit. Communication with Penny, the owner, was always smooth, which made us feel relaxed. The most wonderful thing which we will always remember and be thankful for, is Penny’s kindness and the great efforts she made to help us even after we had checked out, when we realised that a valuable item had been inadvertently left behind. She very kindly sent it back safely to us, and was very understanding. With such happy memories, we truly wish to return!

Its always like home from home . We have a young grandaughter who has been staying with us since she was five months old . Penny the owner has proved to us many times nothing is too much trouble and every facility is available . We have wonderful family meals in the dining room and breakfast kitchen which are superbly equipped .
