Located just outside of Castle Combe but within walking distance. Lovely back garden and cozy living area with fireplace. Plenty of room for 6 of us to gather for a meal. Well stocked kitchen. The downsides to be aware of (which we were). Low ceilings/doorways - of course. Crazy stairs everywhere - spiral to the bedrooms, more stairs up to kitchen. Main bath off of kitchen and not near bedrooms. Yes there is a beam in the middle of the top bedroom you must maneuver under. Weird and strange but manageable! Overall we liked the place.

It is a pity there is no heater in the bathrooms, they are cold. As an old house, we unfortunately faced a power failure. It could have been resolved right away but Sykes customer service was inefficient and did not urge to resolve the problem. They just follow up with troubleshooting tickets number and emails, phone calls, but no real solution unless I personally insist and showing my disappointment . Too bad because the property has lovely owners, who felt very sorry for us. I would definitely come back, hoping I could rent through another agency. This wonderful place deserves a much nicer exposure. Excellent in every aspect. The beddings are so comfortable you literally melt into your bed.the sheets were so perfect too ! It was definitely a dreamy home.
