We had 2 weeks at Gladwyn Cottage. Overall everything fine, some details are good to know in advance: no village store nearby, garden rather small (the oil tank mentioned in another review is visible but didn't disturb us), the street in front of the house is busy (mainly throughout daytime) - we are used to traffic noise, so no problem for us.Helpful neighbours, nice village community, lovely house, easy to reach because of M4 .... Thinking about another stay in one of our oncoming holidays!

Old cottage with low ceilings and limited outside space, which is even less now there's massive , stinky, oil tank in it. Also backs onto the main road which can be quite noisy at times, especially when M4 closed! Wine and milk a nice thought but we used neither; however loo roll and bin liners would have been more universally useful! Dogs allowed, but rather more tolerated than welcome, as not allowed upstairs/ on sofa. Excellent dog park in Foxham just a few minutes away as well as a recreation field, and many footpaths, opposite for lead walks. Cleanliness a bit hit and miss, the manky loo brush being the worst offender! The location was perfect for us as we were at a wedding in the next village and our friends live nearby.

My family had a very comfortable holiday in Gladwyn Cottage. For us it was very well located but for others it may be either to isolated or still to busy as the back part of the cottage is on a relatively busy road to Bath. This didn't bother us at all and we still heard the dawn chorus each day which was lovely.
