Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a river in the grounds.. This attractive, detached, single-storey holiday cottage stands on the banks of the River Avon.
The surrounding area is full of picturesque villages, and across the river is the 16th-century Heale House with 8 acres of beautiful gardens. Nearby is Stonehenge, and the lesser known neolithic site of Woodhenge. Salisbury has Britain’s finest medieval cathedral with the best preserved original Magna Carta. Shop, pub 1 mile.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed which is accessed from one side only. Initial fuel included, remainder available locally.
There is open water in the property grounds.

What a lovely location. Close enough to normal life, but secluded enough for a peaceful break. The Fishing Lodge was clean and very comfortable. Very well equipped - everything you need. It was great to meet the owner Guy! We rebooked while there for 2027!Very dog friendly (but don’t upset the trout fishermen). Spacious accommodation. We were there during great weather… but there is plenty of heating and an open fire (which we didn’t use).Highly recommended.

We really liked the cottage, it was roomy, clean and peaceful. There is a great deal to see and do in the area ranging from the Hawk Conservancy Trust (bird displays) to Salisbury Cathedral and its Tower Tours as well as, of course, Stonehenge. Some of the roads around are narrow and single track and it is well worth paying attention to the instructions to get here. The owner checked in and chatted to us, confirming there were no issues. Overall it was a lovely holiday.

We had a wonderful time at the fishing lodge. It was the second time that we had visited and Guy, the owner, was welcoming and responded quickly to ensure that we were completely comfortable. It is in a delightful location with a relaxing view and large indoor spaces.
