The holiday let inside was fantastic. Very clean and newly decorated. Large fluffy towels and comfy bed. The lounge area is very small. The kitchen was adequately stocked but the cooker and microwave were complicated. The recycling instructions were confusing and the TV kept freezing making it impossible to use. We played games instead! The house and gardens are in large mature grounds but lots of it did need some TLC which was made worse by the dry weather. The entrance to the Nook is down some crumbling steps and along uneven bricks which is not good. The planted area here needed some serious weeding. Alex, the estate manager was lovely and very helpful. We were lucky as there wasn't anyone staying in the big house which meant we had freedom to roam and alfresco dinning. Overall a great break with lots of places to visit close by.

Had a cosy comfortable stay at the Nook while visiting old friends in the area. Enjoyed a stroll round the estate - when the rain stopped! - and felt welcomed and at home.
