Nestled in picturesque Stoke-by-Nayland, this traditional 16th Century farmhouse set amongst beautiful mature gardens and rural farmland. Showcasing charming original features such as exposed beams and a large inglenook fireplace, there are also two inviting en-suite bedrooms.
Following a full modernising renovation, the cottage retains its authentic historic character with wooden beams, exposed brickwork and impressive inglenook fireplace glowing at its heart in the welcoming sitting room. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances including a Rangemaster electric cooker which blends seamlessly amongst the original architecture and intricate mosaic pattern floor. The antique breakfast table makes a lovely spot to sit to plan the day ahead of a morning cup of coffee and pastries.
Upstairs on the first floor, two exceedingly comfortable bedrooms are presented. Bedroom one, the Stoke bedroom, hosts a 6' super-king size bed, with a 5' king-size bed offered in bedroom two, the Nayland bedroom. Both bedrooms benefit from en suite shower facilities and enjoy beautiful three-sixty degree views over a large immaculate garden and unrivalled seclusion in this idyllic rural escape.
Outside, there is a patio all around the cottage. At its widest to the west, this space overlooks a large immaculately tended lawn, flower beds and rolling fields beyond which are frequently filled with livestock. This sun terrace features an outdoor dining table and four chairs accompanied by a barbecue, two sun-loungers, and a raised fire pit. The lawn around the cottage is for your private use.
Tucked away down narrow country lanes and a private half-mile section of the ancient Saint Edmund Way, this quintessential farmhouse is wonderfully positioned in the middle of rolling Constable Countryside within walking distance of two of the Dedham Vale’s prettiest villages with great pubs.

A lovely cottage - clean, well maintained, and very quiet - in a lovely location: a great place to return to after a day out visiting local attractions, pretty much guaranteed a good night's sleep.
