Situated in the beautiful countryside of Suffolk, this detached former farmhouse is within walking distance to Alton Water, which is spread over 400 acres. The area is perfect for cyclists and walkers to explore the countryside and wildlife. Guests who enjoy water sports can visit the Alton Water Visitor Centre where you will also find a children’s play area, mini golf, café and picnic site. Guests are welcome to bring 2 dogs and the owner thoughtfully provides a a welcome basket, dog beds and a purpose built outdoor kennel with an indoor area so they can be left in a comfortable environment.
For those wanting to venture in to the local town of Ipswich, there are plenty of historic sites to see, or simply shop and stop for a coffee and watch the world go by. The beach is approximately 13 miles from the property and is ideal for a family day out. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

We had a lovely and peaceful holiday, the cottage was well equipped everything we needed. The walks were great for our dog as she is noise senstive to loud bangs and cars and bikes

Very quiet location, enclosed garden, plenty of parking. Very close to Alton Water Reservoir with lots of walks.

Great property in great location.Everything you need for a get away holiday, we didn’t use the car all week.Private, peaceful and the dogs loved it too.Our second stay, and will be returning.
