Sycamore Farmhouse is highly praised for its spaciousness, well-appointed interiors, and delightful hosts. Guests enjoy the hot tub, sauna, and the charm of the working farm with Highland cattle. The property's location is convenient for exploring local attractions. Some minor issues with flies and maintenance are noted, but overall experiences are overwhelmingly positive, with many looking to return.
Reviews consistently mention the farmhouse being very clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness. The property is well-maintained, contributing to the high score.
The location is praised for its convenience next to the A14, making it easy to explore local sights. The rural setting on a working farm adds to the charm, although some guests noted the presence of flies.
Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and appreciate the spacious and well-furnished living areas. The presence of multiple bathrooms and a fenced garden for safety adds to the comfort.
The farmhouse offers excellent facilities including a hot tub, sauna, and games room. However, there were minor issues with the dishwasher and log burner, and a suggestion for fly nets, which slightly lowers the score.

This was our second visit to Sycamore farm as a group of female friends.Everything remained the same from the previous year except with the addition of more bath mats as we requested the previous year. The bottle of local wine was also a welcom addition this year.Unfortunately we were pre warned that a part on the boiler had broken and were awaiting a part so we didn't have any heating. Extra logs were supplied for the open fire in the living room and electric heaters supplied, although there not enough for all of the bedrooms which is where they were needed the most. The hosts were welcoming and accomadating and we hope to be back in the future.

What a fabulous place, everything you could possibly need has been provided down to tea and coffee sachets, lovely and spacious with possible the best beds I've had on holiday, so so comfortable. On our last day the boiler broke down, Graham came to inform us, brought a pile of wood for the log burner and some electric heaters for the bedroom, you couldn't have asked for anymore. A lovely little gem of a place, looking forward to returning.

We have just got back from our Christmas stay at sycamore farm. It was very easy to find with the sat nav. Carol and Graeme greeted us on arrival. Their home is attached to the property so they're always on hand if needed. They were very welcoming and gave us a tour of the property. It's such an old and beautiful house, beware the unlevel floors. It didn't pose as a risk to us but be careful if you've had a tipple. Huge well equipped kitchen with dining area we used that space everyday and used the 'fancy dining room' for our Christmas dinner. The Aga was great especially for the stove top, the ovens took me a little time to get used to. The hosts have provided lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and sweetness, more than I've ever seen in other properties I've stayed. Great touch. Also there are plenty of sachets of ketchups mustard vinegar etc. another unexpected detail. The living room is lovely, huge sofas to comfortably seat everyone, they supplied throws so that even the dogs were allowed which we appreciated, our dogs are our babies. Really good sized smart TV so all could see. Initial logs and kindling supplied for the wood burner. Downstairs also has the games rooms, fully stocked with books, dart board, pool/snooker (the table could do with some minor repairs but it doesn't affect play, you can access the garden from here and from the kitchen. The 'fancy dining room' had linens, cutlery and glassware ready so no need to transport much. The beds were so comfortable and huge, baby crib provided in the main bedroom. This room acts as a connection between two parts of the house. Hot tub and sauna are fantastic. The dogs loved the garden. And we loved seeing the cows especially the one born on Christmas day.
