In essence, the Coach House sets the bar for cottage stays. Owners live next door, their communication is amazing and they can't do enough to ensure a comfortable stay. The cottage is very well equipped and not a penny has been spared decorating or furnishing this fantastic hideaway. My wife has since ordered the plump and luxurious duvet! Quiet village, 2 pubs, great walks around Alton water which is a 2 minute walk away, easy access to Ipswich and Colchester, but also Constable country just down the road. Took the dog to Jimmy's farm (8 minute drive) for breakfast and a walk around the wildlife park, which was great, and the owners Judy and Brian are incredibly enthusiastic about dogs so even they have their own posh crockery and treats! Arrived to a lovely cream tea welcome, and left after a lovely chat with Judy. Couldn't have been any better. Thank you!

Could not recommend this perfect little cottage more and already planning my next stay. The most idyllic rom-com worthy cottage in the most perfect location for endless dog walking and running routes. So clean, comfy and so many little touches to make it extra special.

A very clean, comfortable and well-appointed holiday home, the Coach House is steps away from cycling and walking routes around Alton Water.
