The Great Escape in Ipswich is a spacious and well-equipped cottage, appreciated for its large hot tub, games room, and generous welcome hampers. It comfortably accommodates large groups and offers a variety of entertainment options, making it ideal for family gatherings.
The property is generally well-kept with high cleanliness standards, though some guests noted minor issues with cleanliness such as stained carpets and dirty crockery.
The cottage is well-situated, offering easy access to local attractions, villages, and seaside towns, with nice walks nearby, making it a good base for exploring Suffolk.
The property is comfortable, with plenty of room for guests. However, some furniture is considered outdated, and there are suggestions for better garden furniture and blackout curtains in one bedroom.
The facilities, including a hot tub, games room, and well-equipped kitchen, are highly praised. Some maintenance issues were mentioned, such as a blocked shower drain and a broken oven, but these were addressed.
Guests frequently mentioned the thoughtful welcome hampers, which added a personal touch to their stay. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every visit.

Stayed here with family ranging from 12 to 81 years old, the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom were great for the older family members. It's a great size house with lots of different spaces which was handy when different games were being played at the same time. Hot tub was amazing, lovely in the evening with the fairy lights on around the garden. The welcome hamper was very nice, the children also got some Halloween themed treats.

A clean and very spacious house and a very good base to visit all the lovely villages, seaside towns and many National Trust properties in Suffolk. We chose this house because of the double bedroom and accessible bathroom on the ground floor. This was good, although there is a large glass partition by the shower, which was concerning for my friend who has balance issues. The info on the website is slightly exaggerated, to be honest! Furniture is old fashioned and could do with a few more pics on the walls to make it more homely! Might be worth taking toilet rolls, as these were in short supply and a couple of tea towels! On the up side, there was a welcome gift of biscuits and a bottle of wine!
