This cosy, traditional, farm character cottage is situated on the owners’ small estate, and 2 miles from the charming Suffolk town of Eye. It retains some original beams and studding, with steepish stairs to quaint dormered bedrooms. It is good value holiday accommodation for couples and small families, with good walks and is about 25 minutes from Woodbridge and the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The Broads and Constable Country are each an easy drive. Shop and pubs 2 miles.

A really lovely, relaxing week’s holiday. Oak Lawn Cottage is a hidden gem, at the end of a long driveway, isolated and peaceful. Though it lacks some of the more modern amenities (WiFi and some electrical kitchen equipment), this in no way impinges on the tranquility and restfulness of the cottage, if what you want is a real break from the hurly burly. We wanted that, and that’s what we found. The area is lovely. Eye is a pretty town, and it’s easy to drive to Norwich, Diss, Southwold and the rest of the Suffolk coast. We also spent a fascinating few hours at the (free!) 100th Bomb Group Museum, about 25 minutes’ drive away. All in all, a really great break. A big thank you to our hostess, Jean, who made us most welcome.

We absolutely loved Oaklawn Cottage. It's a hidden gem. It's old fashioned, naturally simple and surrounded by nature. Four women on a cycling weekend, we needed 4 beds - hard to find but this was perfect and we enjoyed easy cycling distance to the the local village pubs.The owner, Jean, was a delight - friendly and easily available if we needed anything. We loved her 3 beautiful dogs, the free roaming chickens and majestic horses in the field. Will definitely love to go back.

We really enjoyed the super cute little house. The nature was beautiful, and it was a great base for excursions. It was wonderfully peaceful.
