Guests say

Owls Nest in Eye offers a secluded, peaceful retreat with a touch of quirkiness. Guests appreciate the wildlife, large garden, and the rustic charm of the property. While some find it different and rustic, others relish the tranquillity and well-equipped space. The property's seclusion and natural surroundings are highlights, though accessibility and maintenance are noted concerns.

The property generally appears clean with well-kept equipment, though there is a mention of a dirty bathroom floor in one review. Towels and bedding are noted to be of good quality.

The location is praised for its quietness and proximity to wildlife, with easy access to nearby towns and the coast. However, it is described as very isolated, requiring a car for access.

The property is described as comfortable and quirky, with a south-facing outside space. However, there are concerns about accessibility for the less mobile due to steps, and the layout of the log burner.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and a new shower. However, there are comments about the need for TLC and issues with the fit of doors and excess personal items.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Apart from the very stern greeting and being over looked occasionally by the owner, it was an average but warm bedsit style accommodation.

A lovely find! Quiet and secluded with wildlife literally on our doorstep, deer, hares, partridges. The property is on the grounds of the owners property. She introduced herself on arrival, then we were left to ourselves. Perfect. Diss is up the road, Bury St Edmonds, the coast a mere hours drive away. Lovely
