The thoughtfully planned layout has a minimal colour palette, with touches of bright colour, such as the velvet turquoise sofa. Pets have a cosy dog bed next to the wood burner and large bifold doors open to the garden. There are two inviting bedrooms, both with charming wrought-iron bedsteads and high ceilings: a king-size, with country views, and a twin with zip-and-link beds. A streamlined shower rom continues the contemporary theme. Outside, the enclosed garden has a large patio with dining furniture and a fire pit.
Historic Needham Market (6 miles) has beautiful timber-framed buildings, while peaceful Needham Lake offers a nature reserve, walks and picnic spots. Magnificent Helmingham Hall (3 miles) is encircled by a moat and has spectacular Grade I-listed gardens, including a walled kitchen garden, rose, knot and wildflower gardens. There is a tearoom, and dogs on leads are welcome. Suffolk Owl Sanctuary (4 miles) is home to more than 80 owls and birds of prey from around the world, as well as a troupe of lively, meerkats. For a day at the seaside, head to charming Aldeburgh (22 miles). Jimmy's Farm and wildlife park is also an ideal place for a day out with plenty to see and do for all ages.
