Set in the garden of a 15th Century house, Aspen Loft is absolutely stunning inside and out. Furnished to an exceptionally high standard and equipped with absolutely everything you could need to enjoy a restful and peaceful stay.
Perfect for couples, the accommodation comprises a beautiful, spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, sitting area with balcony looking out to the surrounding gardens. There is a wealth of books on offer to while away the afternoon reading, or just kick back and relax watching a film or favourite Netflix documentary. Both bedrooms provide charming character and the most comfortable night’s sleep. Feature wallpaper, Liberty prints and eclectic textiles throughout provide this countryside retreat a contemporary and modern twist.
Outside there is a small planted area with seating and a charcoal barbecue for your enjoyment. Extensive gardens are perfect for your four-footed friend and encompass an orchard, woodland, rose and vegetable gardens. The owners are keen gardeners and will be happy to provide a selection of your chosen veggies for dinner. A number of strategically placed seats mean you can bask in the sunlight at any time of day.
You’ll likely find it hard to leave this oasis of calm and tranquillity, but if you can venture out there are wonderful country walks right on the doorstep. At the epicentre of a wide tract of unspoilt Suffolk countryside, there are welcoming pubs and delightful villages including Clare, Lavenham, Long Melford and the larger towns of Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, and Cambridge are all within range.

We spent a midweek in the Aspen Loft and had a truly delightful experience. The accommodation is wonderfully cosy, with charming and colourful decoration that instantly makes you feel at home. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need and the garden is an absolute gem, romantic with a wide view across the surrounding landscape. The hosts welcomed us with genuine warmth (and their gentle dogs added an extra touch of joy). Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax in a peaceful countryside setting.

We chose this cottage because of it's cheerful design. The pictures didn't lie, the interior is composed exceptionally well. Entering the garden, of which we could use a big part, the lovely scents where bringing joy. A horse welcomed us in the morning with a soft snort, chickens where wandering around. The dogs where friendly, one came for cuddles. Kate and Christopher made us feel so welcome. They are the best, warmest hosts ever! They generously share the beautiful home and space they created.
