About this property

A fantastic blue-painted refurbished cottage resting in the heart of Aldeburgh, Suffolk, 11 Crabbe Street is the ideal getaway for a family or group of adults looking to explore the coast of Suffolk. Upon arrival, make yourself at home in the sitting room, painted an eye-catching green and with a selection of sofas and an open-fire to warm your feet, you are bound to love settling down in here with a coffee and a good book. When mealtimes call, the kitchen/diner offers a range of amenities in a stylish kitchen, with French windows opening up onto a patio where dining alfresco is a must, and a handy utility takes care of your sandy clothes. The ground floor also offers a shower room, and when the evening wears on you will find three bedrooms upstairs, as well as a bathroom, including a king-size, a double and a single, each with storage and their own individual character. 11 Crabbe Street is a stylish property in a fabulous area, only a short distance from Aldeburgh’s high street, where you can find quaint independent shops selling local produce, a range of eateries, pubs and even a small museum! Take a walk along the stunning pebble beach and absorb the salty air, maybe even daring to wild swim or try out your favourite watersports. More walks can be found at the Haven Nature Reserve and Snape path, however, for a taste of history, head over to the village of Orford where the amazing Orford castle welcomes you to take a step back in time. Fall in love with the Suffolk coast with a stay at 11 Crabbe Street.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

The house is in a great location, mid-way between the beach and the high street, yet quiet in the evenings and mornings. We were really impressed with the standard of the furnishings, decoration, facilities and clear instructions etc. and managed to cook our Christmas dinner etc without any stress in the well-equipped kitchen. The accommodation was cleaned to a high standard and nicely uncluttered. Overall a very comfortable base for our much-needed Christmas break

The kitchen was well equipped and the heating was generous. The location was perfect for beach and high street and to explore the surroundings. Our main goal for the weekend was to spend the day on Orford Ness which is an easy drive South but we also loved the hides at the nature reserve at the North end of town (lots of ducks and a barn owl!) - and we are on the 'love it' team for the scallop!!

It was wonderful to return to 11 Crabbe Street + Aldeburgh. As usual, everything one could possibly need was provided so thank you. We relaxed in the cozy lounge in the evenings, reading & watching the world go by. Always a great pleasure to return to Aldeburgh. The opportunity for us to reset ourselves & be together. See you soon.
