You will find Pebble Cottage just off the high street in the ever popular Aldeburgh. A traditional old terraced fisherman’s cottage with a contemporary finish, ideal for couples and small families. The open fire in the cosy living room makes Pebble Cottage perfect for romantic winter breaks with days walking the stunning Suffolk Heritage Coast, Aldeburgh Beach is only a 2-minute walk away. This is an old fisherman’s cottage with very steep stairs to the first floor leading to the master bedroom with en-suite toilet and hand basin and a very small second bedroom. In the summer Aldeburgh is a hive of activity and a much sought after location. Its high street is filled with restaurants, pubs and shops. Along the promenade, fresh fish is sold from the beach huts that line the sandy stretch of beach - the iconic scallop shell sculpture standing proud in the centre, a tribute to Benjamin Britten, the composer famously affiliated with this beautiful part of the world. Surrounding Aldeburgh there is plenty to see and do and a short drive inland will bring you to Snape Maltings, the home of Aldeburgh Music. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is a year round music programme. This unique location brings visitors outstanding concerts, events, cafés, galleries, river trips and much more. Cosy cottage excellent location close to beach and facilities. Parking permit a must have.

Pebble Cottage is comfortable, very well equipped, has been sympathetically refurbished and retains its character but with modern amenities. The furnishings are good quality, as is the bedding and towels. Constant hot water. The very steep stairs referred to in the property description are also very narrow, approx 2 ft (0.7 m) wide with flagstones at the bottom. Our cabin sized luggage was just the right size to take up them. For this reason, I would be very cautious about taking young children.The parking permit for the Church car park was a godsend (pun intended) as the streets surrounding the cottage all have either single or double yellow lines. The sea front and High Street are just a few minutes walk away.Our niggle is there was no Welcome Pack which was listed in the Features and has always been present in the previous cottages we have stayed in. Arriving at 5.00 pm on a Sunday, after a long journey, at least a pint of milk in the fridge would have been appreciated.
