As well as a large patio area at the front, there are secluded, fully enclosed gardens to the rear which are perfect for any little guests to run around safely and securely while the grown-ups can relax and enjoy chilled out time drinking and dining alfresco. You can imagine spending many hours out here really getting into the holiday vibe. The interior of the property isn’t too shabby either, with a bright and airy open-plan layout, helping to create a real feeling of light and space. Whether you want to enjoy each other’s company and curl up in the ample seating area in front of the attractive woodburning stove, or if you’d rather tune in and zone out watching some fantastic TV or films, Woodland Lodge has got it covered. If you’re feeling hungry then the fully fitted kitchen awaits which has everything needed to create hearty food for the family and with stunning bi-folding doors opening onto the patio next to do the indoor dining area, you can take your pick whether you want to dine inside or outside. Both lend themselves to long, lazy meals together enjoying catching up on holiday tales, so the choice is yours! When it’s time for bed, guests can decide between the fabulous master bedroom or two equally well-presented bedrooms, either a double or a twin. All the bedrooms offer a calm and relaxing space which is perfect for resting weary heads after a tiring day of getting out and about exploring. Talking of getting out, there is so much to see and do in the area, it’s hard to know where to begin. Take a stroll into Aldeburgh which has a great selection of shops and amenities as well as a pebbly beach and what it’s best known for – its range of brightly-coloured beach huts. Aldeburgh Golf Club is nearby if you fancy getting into the swing of a game and the picturesque village of Thorpeness is also close, which is well worth a visit. Jump in the car for attractions such as Snape Maltings, Glemham Hall, Framlingham Castle, Oasis Camel Park and Somerleyton Hall. If it’s all about the beach for you, then grab a bucket and spade and head to Southwold, Dunwich, Walberswick or Thorpeness. The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

The gates blow open as not able to fix them in place. With dogs or children this could be a safety issue. There were no teaspoons in The cutlery drawer. So we used the childrenâs plastic spoons. Not ideal. This did not spoil our holiday. The property was ideal with a disabled lady and all on one level. The furnishings and bed linen and towels were lovely. The beds and seating comfortable. The garden facilities were good too. If the weather had been drier I think we would have loved sitting and eating out there. Well placed for visiting the south and east of Suffolk.

.The only downside was I couldnât get a WiFi signal in the en suite room and like to speak to family in the privacy of my room x Would benefit from a WiFi booster . Apart from the WiFi problem had a great stay

More weeds than grass. I appreciate itâs been dry up there but thatâs no excuse. The back of the house is filthy with cobwebs and there are substantial overhangs from the trees behind the house. Could be a problem with kids.l mentioned all this last year and the year before. Yes this was our third consecutive stay. There wonât be anymore. The soap dispenser in the en-suite doesnât work, as the bottles have fitted such it is only possible extract a minuscule amount each push. The major fault was the gate. The catch is bent, so it flicks, which in turn make difficult to pull the bolt back. You have to lift the other gate to pull back the bolt anyway. The two âboltsâ the are meant to secure the gates to ground, donât. There are no metal rings in the ground to secure them. When windy the âsecuredâ gates blew open; even the top bolt came out. The house is meant to be pet friendly, which l would suggest should also mean safe for pets. To have a gate that can blow open, when there could be a dog in the garden, next to a busy road, is a disgrace. We bound a bicycle chain lock to make the gate secure. Do the owners ever inspect the property, or is that your responsibility? I would have thought that the cleaners would have mentioned it. Thankfully, we managed to have a great holiday, the weather was kind and house interior is fine.
