Park off-road and make yourself at home in this historical three-story building, discovering a stylish sitting/dining room with hints of lime, where you can recline after a long day of exploring the local area, or enjoy a family meal whipped up in the amply fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar, and no doors between the rooms make this a great social area for all guests to enjoy. On the first floor you will find three bedrooms, all tastefully furnished, including a super-king-size with zip-link which can be set up as a twin on request and has an en-suite perfect for a refreshing shower, a double bedroom and a single, accompanied by a family bathroom. The most impressive bedroom has to be the second-floor king-size, with roof beams punctuating fresh white walls, hues of green which flow throughout the house and create a homely feel and an en-suite. When it comes to alfresco dining, the outside turf area with furniture has you covered, and you will be delighted to discover that this property has an indoor heated swimming pool and fitness suite for all guests to enjoy. The local area of Blythburgh offers a great number of activities within easy access of the village, beginning with beach and forest walks at the Denes Beach, Southwold, where you can enjoy a stroll in the salty air and maybe even take a daring dip in the waves, and Dunwich Forest where you will be surrounded by wildlife. An afternoon can be spent enjoying Thorington Theatre or Southwold Maize Maze before ending the day in a local pub or restaurant, and for golf lovers there is the option of Halesworth Golf course. Explore Suffolk with a stay at the wonderful Ploughman’s Green.

Saxmundham is a small market town located on the River Fromus, in the heart of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. The town is well serviced with independent shops, local museum, supermarkets and a train station, as well as art galleries, a weekly market and a farmers’ market. Situated so close to the coast, Saxmundham is a great base for a seaside holiday; within easy reach of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, as well as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick, you could enjoy a different coastal location each day. Also close by is the inland market town Framlingham with beautiful historic architecture, a castle and an array of independent shops. South of the town there is the well known tourist destination of Sutton Hoo, an ancient Royal Anglo-Saxon burial site. With Ipswich an easy drive south, and Norwich an easy drive north, there’s so much to see and do in and around Saxmundham.

    Large, bright and spacious, with all rooms being beautifully furnished. Kitchen was well equipped. The games room and swimming pool booking process was simple and facilities were clean. It would have been great to know what the boundaries of the grounds were and any local footpaths. Wifi was a little patchy, although we were there to disconnect from work so not an issue. Thoroughly recommended and we are already making plans to return.

    Arrived on a cold and wet day to find it warm and welcoming. Everything clean and ready to go. Our thanks to the housekeepers for their efforts. A few small maintenance issues reported to them. If we were a large party I might be complaining about the shortage of clothes hanging facilities and a chest of drawers on the middle floor. The rear car park for this property needs a bit of lighting. Our 4th visit to the Blyth View development, and we always enjoy this a peaceful, but convenient location. Recommend the cafe at Old Hall marsh & walks for a nearby lunch.

    The house was warm which is always a bonus in late October, and the house is very comfortable. We did find that the pool was rather cold on some days which forced us to curtail our swims, and other users also expressed the same sentiment. We were surprised to find that we were still required to strip the beds and put towels into a bag. Now that the Covid pandemic appears to be less severe I would expect this to be a thing of the past.
