The open-plan living area really does have the ‘wow’ factor as you walk in and are captivated by the sheer light and space on offer and the attractive original ceiling beams, exposed brickwork and traditional features, all adding up to create a truly rustic and welcoming ambience. The ample seating area is suitably inviting with a stylish dining area separating the living space from the kitchen which is fully fitted and has everything even the most experienced chef could possibly need to create delicious food for the whole party. This is a truly sociable space and one where you can imagine spending many happy hours putting the world to rights whilst enjoying long, lingering meals together. They really have thought of everything at Yew Tree Barn with a couple of alternative spaces available to anyone who might want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. On the mezzanine level there is a fantastic space with a desk, sofa and daybed making the perfect spot for chilling out and relaxing. If you want something a little more lively then check out the games room complete with a full-size pool table to bring out your competitive side. A fully enclosed courtyard provides an attractive outside space where children are safe and adults can spend time eating and drinking alfresco. When it’s time for bed, there are three good-sized bedrooms ready for guests to retire to including two king-sizes and a twin with the master king-size bedroom boasting a stunning Juliet balcony, vaulted ceiling and feature exposed beams; a truly mesmerising place to wake up in the morning. After a refreshing shower or relaxing bath, it’s time to plan the day’s activities and there is no shortage of attractions close by. There are a number of quaint, chocolate-box villages nearby including Worlingworth and Bedfield so lace up your walking boots, head out for a hike and check them out or jump in the car for a day trip to the bustling market towns of Framlingham, Eye and Debenham. The beautiful market town of Framlingham is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) and has been known since Anglo Saxon times, when it consisted of several manors which William the Conqueror (1066-1087) presented to Roger Bigod. The town is of particular interest as it has a large castle and mere which was built between 1190 and 1210. The town is surrounded by lovely villages to explore and has two of the oldest working post boxes and one of Britain’s smallest houses, with the footprint measuring 6.1x2.2m! Today, the town offers a number of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and it is also home to Framlingham Summer Arts Festival.
