Just a short drive away are the beaches at Aldeburgh, famous for its connection with Benjamin Britten, and Thorpeness, with its Mere and tea shops. We enjoyed a short break at Dormers in March. Lovely house with everything we needed and our dog enjoyed the garden. Explored a number of National Trust and English Heritage sites, got blown away on the beautiful beaches, all within about 30 minutes of the house. Some roadworks in the area due to the Sizewell construction works but nothing to cause major delays. One point to note is that the bathroom is upstairs and not on the ground floor as detailed on the property listing. There is also a downstairs wc.

Dormers is in a lovely quiet location but only a short walk into the town for shopping, pubs and food outlets. Beach is only a short drive or as we did its a lovely walk along the coastal path.It was spotlessly clean and cosy. There was ample cutlery, crockery etc. and also a dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen was provided and lots and lots of fluffy towels. Basically it provided everthing we needed for a relaxing break with our dog. We will be going back.

Lovely clean and welcoming property in a very quiet location away from the main road, with undercover parking provided.Petrol station a few meters down the main road, with a little shop, although the property location is close to a pub within 20 minutes of the town centre.The roads around Leiston are busy with construction traffic for the new Sizewell C being prepared for by the construction of a railway line.Plenty to do in the area, eg Sizewell Beach, Dunwich Village Museum, Aldburgh, Southwold and Woodbridge are all within 30 mins driving.
