Guests say

Guests consistently praise Moles Meadow for its cosy and comfortable atmosphere, excellent location near beaches and attractions, and well-equipped facilities. The property is noted for its privacy, quietness, and as a perfect base for exploring the Suffolk coast. Positive experiences with cleanliness and thoughtful touches, such as a bottle of Prosecco and toiletries, contribute to its charm.

While guests have mentioned the property being clean on arrival, there are not enough specific references to cleanliness to accurately assess a score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, nature reserves, and historical sites. It is described as private, quiet, and an ideal base for excursions, contributing to a high score.

Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the property cosy, comfortable, and spacious. The presence of underfloor heating and a fire adds to the overall comfort level.

Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped cottage and barn conversion. However, there is a single mention of issues which were promptly addressed, slightly affecting the score.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like Prosecco and toiletries. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, the score reflects the positive sentiment with a polite reminder of their discretionary nature.

About this property

With a spectacular vaulted ceiling and beams, this architect-designed, beautiful barn conversion in the pretty village of Middleton oozes charm and character. Sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms, Moles Meadow is in an ideal location for enjoying a family getaway close to the coast. It is in easy reach of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Dunwich, Snape and RSPB Minsmere.

The accommodation is split over two floors and offers a great sense of space with its vast vaulted ceiling, open-plan living space and large french doors opening out into the garden. Upon entering the property there is a real wow moment when you are greeted by an expanse of glass windows and french doors which flood the open-plan living space with light. The open-plan living space is comprised of a well-equipped kitchen including a dining area with seating for up to six guests and a cosy sitting area with wood burning stove. All of which bask in exquisite warmth and sunlight. The extensive spotlighting and high vaulted ceiling create a magical ambience in the evening.

The french doors lead out to the wrap-around garden which has been mainly laid to lawn and offers the perfect opportunity for some al-fresco dining or a summer barbecue. Also on the ground floor are two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom boasts both a king-size bed and single day bed, making it ideal for a family with a younger child and has its own en-suite shower room. The second bedroom on the ground floor has twin single beds, as well as fitted wardrobes. The family bathroom features a bath with hand-held shower head which is perfect for hosing down little ones who have got mucky whilst out exploring. As the ground floor is tiled throughout, it makes the property well-suited for families with up to two dogs. There is a further bedroom on the mezzanine floor which has twin single beds and overlooks the open-plan living space below.

Outside, the property has extensive grounds and there is private parking for up to four cars along the private driveway. There is also an outbuilding which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, both of which guests are welcome to use during their stay.

Neighbouring villages of Westleton and Theberton boast superb dining pubs. The house is within cycling distance or a short drive of rspb Minsmere and the Suffolk Coast at Dunwich and is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Moles Meadow can also be booked as a sleeps 4 option: Moles Meadow (4).

Additional Information:

Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).

Synthetic bedding.

Travel cot and high chair available on request. Please bring your own linen.

Bedroom two on the mezzanine is not suitable for young children.

The garden is not fully enclosed; there is a ditch at the rear of the property that frequently fills with water in wet weather. Care should be taken with children and pets.

Please Note: The property is located close to the road, so traffic noise can be audible at times.

We had a lovely 2 weeks staying in Moles meadow. We have enjoyed exploring the area especially Southwold, Aldeburgh and Woodbridge. We really recommend visiting Framlingham castle. We also recommend the Poachers Pocket to eat and the Bell which is in walking distance.

A fabulous week visiting Dunwich, Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and Southwold. Weather has been phenomenal. Excellent response from Suffolk Hideaways to issues we had.
