Peggotty's is a charming and well-equipped cottage in Suffolk, praised for its comfort, ideal location, and thoughtful touches by the owners. Guests appreciate the comprehensive facilities, cosy atmosphere, and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some minor improvements are suggested, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently report that the cottage is very clean, with only one mention of a minor issue with a water filter, which seems to be an isolated incident.
The location is frequently described as quiet, peaceful, and perfect for exploring Suffolk. There is one mention of noise from a nearby social club, but this appears to be an exception rather than the rule.
The cottage is often described as cosy and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a warm atmosphere. Some guests found the seating and shower less comfortable, but these comments are relatively few.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen. However, there are suggestions for maintenance improvements, such as the bathroom and living room furniture, and mixed feedback on the Wi-Fi availability.
Many reviews mention the thoughtful touches by the owners, such as welcome packages and well-stocked amenities. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such extras, while delightful, are subject to change and not guaranteed.

It is full of pictures, ornaments and bookcases and has the most comprehensive library of maps and regional information that I have ever seen in a holiday cottage. It is also well equipped, even down to the umbrella, binoculars and shopping bag you can borrow. I found the bed a bit saggy as I prefer a firmer mattress but that is personal preference. The cottage is warm and cosy and very well situated for visiting the beautiful Suffolk coastal towns and villages. Saxmundham is walkable or a very quick drive away with supermarkets and all facilities. We did not find the parking a problem as the free car park is only a few yards from the cottage and always had plenty of space.

All thats missing is a friendly purring cat.

Would have liked a firmer mattress, but that's just us: for others - probably most people - it would be spot on.
