Guests say

Peggotty's is a well-received cottage in Suffolk, praised for its comfort, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches like welcome packs. Its location is ideal for exploring the coast and local attractions. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the attention to detail in the decor. While some noted the steep stairs and clutter, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, with several reviews highlighting how clean and well-maintained the property is. There was a single mention of a mouldy water filter, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The cottage's location is frequently praised for its quiet setting and proximity to local sights and the coast. It serves as a convenient base for exploring Suffolk. However, one review mentioned noise from nearby workmen and a social club, slightly impacting the score.

Many reviews describe the cottage as comfortable and cosy, with comfortable beds and a homely feel. Some guests found the furniture and the steep stairs less comfortable, which is reflected in the score.

The cottage is repeatedly commended for its well-equipped kitchen and the abundance of useful items. However, a few guests suggested improvements in bathroom facilities and mentioned the lack of Wi-Fi, which affects the score.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome packs and the provision of local information and equipment. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, although common, are not guaranteed with every stay.

An ideal location for exploring the wonderful Suffolk Coast and Heaths. So many lovely villages, towns, farm shops, beaches and nature reserves within half an hour of Pegotty's Really livable, lots of utensils, products, storage. Along with nice touches left for you - tea, coffee, sugar, spices, logs for stove etc and a box of chocs). A ton of of tourist and practical info there for you too. Lots of facilities five minutes away in Saxmundham - including supermarkets, restaurants and train station. Poachers Pocket Pub is a nice walk and fantastic Sunday lunch. Only suggestion would be a larger TV. I appreciate that it's a period cottage and very well priced, but I still think 100% would be disappointed with such a small screen these days, when there's very little else to do in the evenings. All in all, an excellent value, well equipped, ideally located holiday cottage. Highly recommend.

So many books and information pamphlets with information on Suffolk and places of interest (plus instruction info on all appliances). Couldn’t fault the high quality kitchen. Bed linen and bed made for an excellent sleep. Shower took a bit of getting used to but adequate. Many thanks for a great week’s stay.
