Needs updating and redecorating. Lino needs sticking down, fence post had fallen off and garden not secure for dogs. Taps and toilets need work. It's all very tired. Garden full of weeds, glass and broken bricks and dangerous paving. TVs are poor - need access to terrestrial channels, Freeview etc.

When we arrived the place wasn’t cleaned. Contacted owner, sent cleaner round, a really quick clean. Beds uncomfortable, aerial needs up grading as very few stations to watch. The house could be very nice if updated. It is nicely situated, and very spacious.

The cottage is well set out with two lounges. This was ideal for a mixed generation party. There is plenty of equipment and up- to- date technology ( 2 smart TVs, air fryer and coffee maker). On the down side it is surrounded by pig farms and, when we arrived there were a lot of flies. We were able to manage this problem but an underlying piggy smell was unavoidable. In addition, when we first got there, the utility room had a strong smell. This was reduced but never fully eliminated by ventilation. These drawbacks are reflected in a reasonable price and did not spoil our holiday. It is close to Minsnere bird sanctuary and on 18 minutes from Southwold.I have recommended it on balance
