We stayed at Wildflower House on the reserve and we were blown away. The house was well equipped, the interior design and attention to detail was superb. We had booked this as a getaway for my fathers 70th birthday. The staff on site were so accommodating and we were graced with the presence of the cows outside on arrival as if they had been booked too! We used the bikes found at the main house, the tennis court and the wonderful outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. We felt thoroughly spoilt with the facilities and would recommend this as a unique getaway. There are many buildings for hire for various functions and it may become busy at peak times but we were the only residents when we visited and were impressed by all we were shown. The star gazing was superb as there isn't any light pollution so the clear nights were impressive.

Stayed in Wildflower House for 3 nights and was truly a unique experience, extremely light and airy with the added feature of sliding doors either side which would make this great in the Summer. Bedrooms were big and two even had a bath in the room. We had cows and sheep come up near to the property (a moat stops them coming too close) which my son loved and also really liked the swimming pool which has a unique design. We even had a tour of the main building which we really appreciated. I would definitely recommend staying here as it is unique and staff were great. It is expensive though which is the only downside.

I was lucky enough to have the bedroom downstairs and it was exquisite - perfect view from all windows and such a large and welcoming room. It was so well appointed with Neals Yard products so anyone would enjoy this. The shower was also heavenly as it was large and open. We then had a lovely evening meal in the dining area which felt very luxurious. The lounge has one of the biggest TV screens i've ever seen that felt like it should belong in a cinema - there is also ample seating for relaxation. I can only recommend this place for anyone who wants to go away with friends/family and indulge in a little luxury. The grounds are fabulous too and it was nice to see sheep wandering around freely and the birds by the lake were a great site. There was a large group of grebes and many other water birds but the sight of two kingfishers was fabulous. I also heard the night call of a barn owl.
