An absolutely charming Grade II Listed cottage, set in a quaint village location close to Suffolk's Heritage coast. Sleeping up to four guests in two well-appointed bedrooms, Tilly's Cottage is an ideal retreat for couples, families or friends looking for a quiet countryside retreat.
Set in a quaint village, this cosy mid-terrace cottage offers spacious and characterful accommodation. Formerly a coaching inn believed to date back to the 17th century, the cottage boasts exposed ceiling timbers throughout and has been beautifully updated and restored to offer a peaceful, modern retreat with all you could need to create special memories that last well beyond your departure.
The accommodation includes a hallway with storage for coats and boots; a contemporary ground floor family bathroom with a shower over the bath; a well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare and enjoy a delicious breakfast to set you up for a long day of exploring; and a dining room with a large table for six guests, so you can comfortably enjoy your meals, play games, or plan for your day ahead around the table. The large sitting room features a generous corner sofa to relax in whilst watching your favourite film or enjoying a good book beside the open fireplace with an Aga wood burning stove.
Upstairs, a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed overlooks the front garden and grass meadows beyond. A second double bedroom offers views over the large rear garden and village church. Both bedrooms are light and airy with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space.
To the second floor, stairs and a door lead to a spacious reading area. This attic room with high apex provides an oasis of calm.
The large rear garden offers seating and a dining area, as well as an outside bar, so everyone can enjoy al fresco meals on balmy evenings. A large artificial turf lawn and adjoining decked area, means everyone (including dogs) have plenty of space.
Tilly's Cottage offers an oasis of calm and quiet, yet is ideally located at just a 15-minute drive to Aldeburgh and all the Heritage Coast has to offer, and 15 minutes to the market town of Woodbridge in the opposite direction.
Additional Information:
