Plan a day out to vibrant Southwold, 9 miles away, which is famous for its pier, beach huts and myriad of independent shops and eateries. Go crabbing from the quay here and take the rowing boat ferry over to Walberswick during the high season. Spend an afternoon at Snape Maltings, 10 miles away, with its famous concert hall, art galleries, retail outlets, eateries and boat trips along the River Alde.
