Hayloft Cottage in Suffolk receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfortable setting, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the pet-friendly environment, welcoming hosts, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. The property's rural tranquillity and proximity to local attractions make it a favoured choice. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but overall, the cottage offers a delightful stay.
Reviews consistently mention the property being spotlessly clean, with only minor comments about windows and ovens needing more attention. The high standard of cleanliness is frequently appreciated by guests.
The property's location is celebrated for its quiet rural setting and easy access to local attractions. The presence of a nice pub and walking options nearby adds to the appeal, although occasional noise from farm activities is mentioned.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy living spaces and comfy beds. Some guests note the bedrooms being slightly small or gloomy, and the downstairs bedrooms not being to everyone's preference.
The property offers well-equipped facilities, including a games room and outdoor areas. However, there are reports of maintenance issues like flickering bathroom lights, furred taps, and a need for updated bathroom lighting. The games room and outdoor seating are well-received.
Guests mention thoughtful gestures such as a welcome pack and the host's friendly check-in. While these are appreciated, it is noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

Games room was great fun, lovely area to bbq overlooking the lake. A little later check out would be better as 9:30 in self catering is simply too early.

Well decorated and very comfortable. You can see the owners take pride in their accommodation. Part of a holiday cottage complex with shared laundry, hoover and garden. Garden not enclosed so not ideal for dogs if your dog is prone to running off. VERY steep wooden stairs up to kitchen and living area. No loo upstairs, so if you have mobility problems, itâs not ideal. Very comfy armchairs and sofa in living area. One light in the living room is on the blink. Itâs working intermittently. Beds very comfy but pillows too hard. Loo seats not very comfy either. Shared garden is beautifully planted and well kept. Lovely lake with a swan and other wildfowl. Communal BBQs could do with a bit of TLC as they were not enticing enough to cook on. Very comfy outdoor seating. The Bird Viewing gazebo on the edge of the lake is dilapidated and covered in ants, so not usable. Lovely thought though. The pool table in the games room has got a large dip in the middle!

Lovely stay in a tranquil location. Returning in September , and will book for next year. Lots of thought has been put into this development, very friendly and welcoming but also quite private. Thoroughly recommend.
