Valley Farm Cottage is a spacious and well-equipped property in a beautiful location, close to local amenities. Guests appreciate the large garden, homely feel, and the provision of a cot and highchair. Some concerns were raised about cleanliness and early morning noise from nearby farm traffic.
Guests have reported issues with cleanliness, including a sticky kitchen floor, unclean toilets, and stained towels. The bin and dishwasher were not emptied prior to arrival, indicating a need for improvement in this area.
The cottage is praised for its beautiful spot and proximity to a shop, pub, and rail station. However, the presence of an animal disposal facility and early morning traffic from a nearby farm slightly detracts from the peaceful setting.
The property is described as spacious and comfortable, with a large decking area and a pleasant open plan kitchen/dining area. However, some guests noted the lack of fans in upstairs bedrooms and difficulty with stairs for those with mobility issues.
The cottage is well-equipped with a BBQ, cot, and highchair, but guests reported missing items like dishwasher tablets and a grill pan. Maintenance issues like an unemptied bin and a minor smoke alarm problem were also mentioned.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Excellent location with no significant noise from the abattoir, just the occasional large truck rumbling along the track at the rear. There were two matters which, for us personally, let it down⦠1. The two sets of main stairs are both sharply curved with narrow treads. This makes it difficult to carry suitcases up and would also represent a challenge for older or less-mobile users. 2. Neither of the upstairs bathrooms has a suitable stand-up shower, just an attachment to the bath which is situated under a low sloping ceiling.

Nice large garden to play in with garden chair and table on decking. Was useful having a cot and highchair when we arrived. Unfortunately not at all clean. Sticky kitchen floor, crumbs on work top, toilets were not clean, towels had stains on and bedding did not smell fresh. Also garden is not child safe, no proper railing on decking.
