About this property

Bramley Cottage is a delightful house resting in Worlingham, Suffolk, offering off-road parking, an enclosed garden, and a warming woodburning stove. Welcoming families and groups of friends, this thoughtfully arranged retreat provides a wonderful base for spending time together while exploring this attractive corner of East Anglia. Arrive and make your way inside to discover a bright and inviting sitting room, where the woodburning stove creates a lovely focal point for relaxed evenings after a day of adventure. The kitchen/diner forms the heart of the home, providing ample space to prepare meals, gather around the table, and share plans for the days ahead.

Outside, the enclosed garden offers room to enjoy a morning coffee on the patio or unwind in the fresh Suffolk air while younger guests and four-legged companions stretch their legs on the lawn. When it is time to retire for the evening, the property offers three well-appointed bedrooms. A ground-floor super-king-size bedroom with a convenient Jack-and-Jill en-suite provides flexibility, while upstairs, a spacious family room and a king-size bedroom with a Juliet balcony offer further accommodation for the group. The family bathroom provides the perfect spot to freshen up before beginning another day of discovery. Beyond the property, the market town of Beccles invites visitors to wander its independent shops, explore the historic town centre, and enjoy scenic walks beside the River Waveney.

Nearby Bungay is home to the striking ruins of Bungay Castle, the fascinating Fisher Theatre, and charming streets lined with characterful buildings. For a change of pace, head to Lowestoft, where attractions include the golden sands of Lowestoft Beach, the maritime heritage of the town, and Africa Alive Reserve, a popular destination for families. However you choose to spend your Suffolk getaway, Bramley Cottage provides an excellent base for making lasting memories.

The historic market town of Beccles has excellent amenities, with unique shops, many of which are independent retailers and the range of restaurants and dining facilities are impressive, with numerous cafes, tea rooms and traditional inns. There are also a number of interesting buildings, including the Town Hall and Quaker Hall, which houses the weekly country farmers' market. The more active visitor may wish to explore the town and surrounding area via the Beccles Marsh Trail, which is divided into three walks of varying distance and character. With an outdoor swimming pool and various play areas, children are well catered for, whilst cyclists can enjoy a number of cycle routes around the town. Beccles is surrounded by open countryside, whilst an easy drive brings you to the popular Suffolk coast and the seaside resorts of Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Southwold.
