Wild Lupin has an open plan living and dining room with a large Smart TV to enjoy a film after a long day exploring Suffolk and super well-equipped kitchen. The spacious bathroom features an elegant roll top bath and a separate walk-in shower with toilet and grab rails throughout. There are two double bedrooms making Wild Lupin suitable for both families and friends to share when looking to escape to the coast.
We also provide a temporary roll-out single bed for the additional fifth guest. At just 4 miles from the popular beach resort of Lowestoft that offers traditional seaside entertainment and Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park and the nearby Africa Alive safari park will keep you amused for days. Visit Oulton Broad and take a boat ride on Lake Lothing or walk along the prom at Southwold with its pier and summer theater, visit Dunwich Heath, rspb Minsmere, or Aldeburgh with its fishing boats and local seafood and the famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall all are in easily accessible as are the lovely Norfolk Broads. The nearest beach is just 500 yards offering excellent dog walking trails, furthermore, at Wild Lupin up to 3 pets go free.

The bungalow was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The garden was a real bonus, although it would benefit from a parasol, as there was very little shade on sunny days, making it difficult to sit outside for long.The driveway leading to the bungalow has quite a few potholes. It’s only a short drive, but it could be uncomfortable for anyone with back problems.During our stay we received a message from the owner saying that a neighbour had complained about our dogs barking. This came as a surprise because we took our dogs out with us and never left them alone at the property or in the garden. We replied to explain this but didn’t receive a response, which unfortunately left us feeling uneasy for the rest of our holiday.There is another dog friendly bungalow next to Wild Lupin, so it’s possible the noise came from there. We do feel it’s important that any complaints about barking are confirmed before guests are contacted, as being wrongly identified was upsetting as we pride ourselves on being responsible dog owners with well behaved dogs and it affected what should be a relaxing holiday.

On arrival we had trouble finding and then accessing the key safe as it was hidden behind bushes along the side of the property. Wild Lupin is a lovely spacious and modern bungalow in a great location, just minutes from the dog friendly beach, accessed behind the property up the hill. (There are steep steps down to the beach if you go this way) Our weekend was during exceptionally warm weather and so we were grateful for the fan provided. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering but we chose to make use of local takeaways that delivered. Happy Wok Chinese and pizza from Kessingland pizza and kebabs were great. There was a lovely selection of snacks and milk left for us (and the dog) which was appreciated, yet there were no coffee pods for the coffee machine (Bosch Tassimo). Plenty of dishwasher tablets though! Kessingland car boot is every Sunday and worth a visit and only a 20 minute walk up the road. We walked to Pakefield along the beach ( takes about an hour) but check the tide is out before you go. Wild Lupin was perfect for us and the dog due to the enclosed garden, modern facilities , including WiFi , large smart TV and onsite parking. Oh and a great shower! 😁
