Guests say

Pebbles Cottage in Southwold is highly praised for its cosy and comfortable atmosphere, ideal for peaceful breaks. Guests appreciate its cleanliness, convenient location, and the warmth provided by the Aga. The property is well-equipped and often described as a 'home from home', perfect for couples and pet-friendly. While some minor maintenance issues and steep stairs are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests frequently noting it as clean and well-equipped. One review mentioned the need to wash some utensils before use, but this seems an isolated incident.

The location is consistently praised for being convenient, close to shops, the beach, and local amenities, making it an ideal spot for exploring Southwold.

Comfort is a strong point, with many guests finding the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. However, a few guests mentioned issues with a soft mattress and steep stairs, slightly affecting the score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the Aga being a highlight. Some guests noted maintenance issues such as a dripping tap and the need for updated instructions, which suggests room for improvement.

While one review mentioned a welcome with wine and flowers, this was not a consistent theme across the reviews. As such, it cannot be confirmed that such gestures are a standard practice, and therefore the score is set to null.

I only made a short visit to see the cottage as one of my dogs was ill and I knew I couldn’t stay there for the week as planned. I wanted to see if it was suitable for a visit in the future but I definitely wouldn’t book again, it is not suitable for a pet as advertised. Disappointed to find not even a complimentary pint of milk in the fridge let alone flowers, bottle of wine, coffee and tea as I’ve always had in other places I’ve booked. Sweet cottage for a couple though.
