On entering the cottage, you arrive in the well-furnished sitting room with plenty of comfy seating in front of a welcoming fire, making a great place to relax after a full day out and about exploring the area. The well-equipped kitchen is bright and airy with a good-sized dining table and chairs, making a great social space to prepare and enjoy some lovely home-cooked meals. There are three bedrooms upstairs with a family bathroom to finish of this lovely property. To the outside is an enclosed garden with a good-sized patio; a good place to relax with a glass of something chilled or to enjoy some alfresco dining. A short walk takes you into the village of Ironbridge itself where you can enjoy the many museums, footpaths and beauty spots of the gorge, before sampling home-made cakes in one of the local cafes, or perhaps visiting one of the several quality restaurants or pubs in the area. Within driving distance are the popular historical towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ludlow with many attractions to suit all tastes. Whatever you decide to do, Foxglove Cottage is an ideal place for a wonderful holiday at any time of the year.
Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Today the area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is a now a maze of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the delightful village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79.
