The house is conveniently located on the main A429 Fosseway road halfway between Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour, just ten miles north to Stratford upon Avon and ten miles south is the picture perfect Cotswold town of Stow on the Wold. The self contained front part of a larger farmhouse The Georgian house was once the village pub, and is now a home from home for visitors wanting to explore the local Cotswolds area, and walk the many public footpaths nearby. Next to the main Roman fosse road, the house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and many historic walks. The front parlour has lovely period features, but now includes all mod cons, a fan oven, ceramic hob with extractor, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. The woodburner in the huge fireplace makes a cosy place to dine around the original Georgian table. Across the hall, the snug/ lounge also features a stone fireplace with a woodburner, comfy feather filled sofas, tv and dvd player, two bookcases filled with dvds and videos and lots to read. A door from this lounge leads to a downstairs bedroom with double bed and an antique wood panelled ensuite bathroom with little roll top bath with shower over, washbasin and w.c. Stairs from the front hallway up to the middle floor lead to a double bedroom with lovely antique furniture and an ensuite "Jack and Jill" bathroom (lockable door on both sides). This features a huge roll top bath with shower over accompanied by a w.c. and bidet, and a dressing table and chairs. Along the landing and up the second flight of stairs you will find a large family bathroom with roll top bath (with hand held shower attachment), dressing table, w.c. and bidet. The top landing leads to two further bedrooms, both with period furniture; On the left, a twin bedroom with cast iron bedsteads, and on the right a large bedroom with a king size bed and a single bed, (so this room can be used as a double or a twin room). The gravelled front drive has room to park four cars, a rose arbour with chairs and a little walled lawned area to sit out with your glass of wine on a sunny evening.
