An attractive, semi-detached cottage situated in a private courtyard location in the small, historic Staffordshire village of Farley, just a 5-minute walk from Alton Towers. Just a five minute walk away you can enjoy the exciting rides, beautiful gardens and superb water park of Alton Towers, while the Peak District beckons with the lovely market town of Ashbourne and Chatsworth House within easy reach and an array of activities, such as horse riding, golf and walking on offer in the area. A great base for an Alton Towers cottage holiday.
The village of Farley consists of a small scattering of cottages and farms on the Alton Towers estate. Alton Towers has rides and attractions aimed at everyone, including white knuckle rides, Toyland for the younger guests, boating on the lake, magnificent gardens and rides on the cable car. Nearby, the market town of Ashbourne features an array of antique stores and a choice of pubs and restaurants. Attractions like Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Dovedale, and the Derbyshire Villages of Ilam, Hartington and are also within easy reach.

( there was a note telling us we could switch it off , but we could not source where!) The kitchen could do with serving dishes , and general utensils eg pizza cutter , colander , . Decent oven trays . We were asked on departure , to remove bed linen from quilts , on doing this we were rather taken aback by the state of the quilts ⦠lots of staining and one quilt in particular was torn ⦠not nice

The description is accurate you really couldn't get closer to Alton Towers entrance! We had some really bad weather and heavy rain and being able to return to the property to dry off and warm up before heading back to the park really saved our trip from being a complete wash out! The property is nice and well equipped, the lounge is lovely with the big sofa and Woodburner, we bought some additional logs from the local shop. Having some mobility issues the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was ideal and 3 bathrooms in total is great. There were 6 of us but did feel it would be a bit crowded with 8 in the living / dining & kitchen areas... Only real downside is the beds weren't very comfortable! When we return to Alton Towers we would definitely want to book again!

The hosts were very helpful before our visit & checked in on us during & after our stay. They were very kind in offering an extended checkout after we had a windswept day at Alton Towers. The property has everything you need to be a home away from home. Cosy and Quiet with great parking and you wouldn't find a closer accommodation to Alton Towers I doubt. We put of the wood burner and relaxed. We would love to return again soon!
