This is an absolute gem! It was cosy and warm and had great views of the church across the road. When we arrived it was spotlessly clean and the owner clearly maintains it well. Excellent glazing meant that it was very quiet once inside, despite being near a busy road and a nursery. From a practical perspective, it was a short walk from everything we needed, including the train station, good real ale pubs (The Moon Tap and the Three Bs were our favourites), a launderette (with exceptionally helpful staff and service washes!), the north and south beaches, the town centre and supermarkets (Lidl, Tesco and Iceland).Bridlington itself is clean with miles of sandy beaches and well-maintained promenades and proved to be a great holiday base for the area. Unlike the seaside town that I call home, there were multiple free and clean toilets along the seafront and the gulls didn't cause any problems. I much prefer it to its brasher cousin, Scarborough, not least because it isn't hilly unless you take the scenic coastal walk up to Sewerby Hall. The only caveat is that there are stairs to get to the main entrance and more stairs to get to the apartment, so if you have difficulties using stairs this would not be a good option.

Clean off the paint spots and drips after the decoratorsAll the carpets and fittings were new and well matched . The cupboards had a smell so maybe let the cleaner know giving her extra time to clean them. The entrance itself isn't welcoming but just needs a little change in flooring and the walls to bring it up to the standard within the apartments

What a little gem this place is! We have just returned from a wonderful break here. Its location is superb. It’s a 2 minute walk into town and 5 minutes to the beach. The beach is wonderfully sandy and it’s a joy to walk along the promenade and round the harbour. There’s lots of places to eat out (thoroughly recommend Wise Guys and Soices 4 u) and Iceland sells everything you need food wise. Based here, we also visited York, Hull, Whitby, Robbin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough which were all about an hour away. Whitney and Robin Hood’s Bay were our favourites. The owner, Adrian, is fabulous. He answered all queries quickly and sorted out the internet for us (the provider was down when we got there and Adrian contacted them and got it sorted immediately). The facilities are great. The air frier worked well and we bought air frier foods from Iceland so not having an oven didn’t bother us. Cottages.com state there’s a dishwasher, but there isn’t. I wasn’t fussed by this as there was plenty of dishcloths and washing up liquid provided and lots of places to eat out. Parking is restricted here. You can park directly outside between 7pm and 9am for free, but then you need to move the car to the car park which is literally a 90 second walk away. The car was safe there but the cost did add up. I thoroughly recommend staying here.
