Wonderfully constructed promenades provide everything from amusement parks to peaceful nooks where you may sit and people-watch. An interesting contrast to life on the beach, where the most recent episode of Dad's Army was recorded, Bridlington's shops, sights, restaurants, and historic "Old Town" can be found there. The Bridlington Spa Theatre on the waterfront offers night-time entertainment. In addition, the East Riding Leisure Centre has a family swimming pool in addition to several other indoor pursuits.
