Overall, the property is well-suited for a relaxing break, especially for dog owners and those who appreciate a serene setting.

Several guests found the caravan clean on arrival, but there are notable reports of dirt, grime, and unpleasant odours from others. The hot tub is a highlight and consistently praised. The caravan is generally well-equipped, with recent upgrades to the fridge and cooker noted. Some guests mention maintenance issues such as broken window latches, blinds, and the need for a jet wash outside. Facilities are good but would benefit from further maintenance.

We were a little concerned after reading recent reviews and had raised this with Cottages.com. However I can confirm that some things were rectified. There was a new fridge , cooker and a very clean kitchen area. Kitchen reasonably well equipped but would benefit from a few extra glasses , mugs and cutlery. This is essentially a static caravan that is quite dated .We found it to be clean and comfortable , would benefit from some new carpets. Hot tub was new clean and a definite highlight .Location - it’s very pretty but isolated and my issue with the description is it is implied there is an enclosed garden ( if you filter on that ) and there isn’t . There is the decking outside the caravan but beyond that dogs have to be kept on leads which isn’t ideal if you have a young dog that needs to go out frequently! The owner we found to be helpful and responsive.

Thos place wasn't a haven, it was absolutely filthy. From the decking area outside which had years of ground in muck on, not what you want to be walking through. Inside it stunk of wet dog x plug in air freshener yuk, plus thos was dog friendly plug inside are toxic to dogs! The place needed a good clean, surfaces and windows were filthy, fingernails and grease smudges and cooking splats everywhere. Previous occupiers leftovers in the freezer which needed defrosting. The fridge was dirty and smelly and inside 'repaired' with silver duct tape. Pans, utensils and cutlery dirty broken old and rusty. Sofa was uncomfortable as was the bed, both need replacing. Blinds missing, so no privacy, a lot of windows had been glued shut, plus the ones that did open did so onto brambles and nettles. There was a LOT of grime and dust everywhere. The place felt so grotty. Outside there was a huge amount of chicken poo, from the neighbpurs roaming escaped chickens..and dog poo from previous occupants, amongst more brambles and nettles. The area could be made nice, as the view was lovely..but that was it.The property owner wasn't contactable, and cottages.com weren't any help, just said complain when youre home! We left early anyway one night was too much, this was supposed to be a relaxing break. Oh and the security gate and code wouldn't work, and the long pothole lane damaged our tyres too.AVOID!!

While there are some really lovely points about this stay, there is also a lot that let’s it down. The view onto the lake is stunning. The privacy and peaceful resort is lovely. You aren’t over looked or worrying about neighbours while in the hot tub. However there are many points that let this down. The caravan has not been maintained, all the white features outside are green and in clear need of a jet wash. Most of the windows latches are broken. The second bedroom one doesn’t open at all. The main bedroom and kitchen window open into nettles and wild bushes. Which in turn allows bugs inside. And the view, well there isn’t one. Some of the blinds in the living area are also broken so these can’t be shut at all. The fridge is hanging on with duct tape. The peace and lake view from the hot tub is what kept us there. This just needs some tlc and some love to bring it back up to standard for the price paid.
