Bright and welcoming, this dog friendly property has an open plan living space with wood burner and deep sofas, one of which doubles as a sofa bed. The kitchen and dining area provides everything needed to enable the chef in the group to cook delicious homemade meals. On the first floor, you will find two well-appointed, cosy bedrooms. Both rooms are lovingly furnished with vaulted ceilings and en-suite shower rooms. The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout. Outside, the small courtyard has seating and enjoys the sun for much of the day. It also boasts a hot tub, the perfect place to relax. As a working stud farm, the owners offer the opportunity to look around and see some of their world class mares and foals (arranged on arrival). For those with horses, stabling is available.
Fraisthorpe Beach is perfect for horse riding. The village of Brandesburton is home to a couple of pubs alongside several shops and restaurants. A short drive brings you to the pretty Wolds town of Beverley offering independent shops, cafés and restaurants. A day at Beverley Races or a round of golf at one of the many local golf courses are sure to keep everyone entertained. The seaside town of Hornsea is on the doorstep and with pony rides, ice-cream and fish and chips is a lovely family destination. With so much to do and see in the surrounding area including the rspb reserve at Bempton Cliffs, the Nature Reserve at Spurn Point and various stately homes, you are guaranteed a holiday to remember.

Fantastic property , well equipped , we had an issue the first evening we arrived but it was dealt with fantastically by the owners immediately, could not ask for better service.Would definitely consider staying here again and would highly recommend it to others.

We stayed at the old forge for 6 nights. The old forge is a rural retreat, that is a hidden gem. It is a dog friendly cottage that has a lovely dog walk on its doorstep. The cottage has been well planned, well equipped and has a mixture of traditional and modern decor. There are three smart TVs. We found the king sized bed very comfortable. The cottage also has a small garden area with. a hot tube that was always heated to 40 degrees. . We enjoyed our stay there. Being unfamiliar with the local area we-found the surrounding villages very pleasant to visit. There are a number of lovely country pubs not far away. We were also enjoyed visiting the of Beverley.
