West End Farmhouse stands proud in the peaceful village of Ulrome, close to the beautiful rugged Yorkshire Coast. This detached holiday property is excellent for families, as there is a very large garden for the children to run around in and a little Wendy house for them to play in. There is also a fantastic terraced area, which is ideal for a barbecue, and in addition, a boot room with a stairgate and storage for bikes and boots. For people who enjoy fishing, the owner provides coarse fishing free of charge (fishing licence required) for the fishing pond, which is just along the lane. In 15 minutes, guests can walk from the property down through the village lanes to the beach. It provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore the east coast of Yorkshire and what it has to offer. Close by, visit the famous rspb Bempton Cliffs, where you can observe puffins and gannets in their natural habitat. There are some fantastic walks and cycle rides along the rugged cliffs of the east coast, some of it being part of the Cleveland Way. Just 8 miles down the coast, visit the hustle and bustle of the traditional seaside resort of Bridlington. With its working fishing port, you can see the catch brought in on the quayside. There is also a large sandy beach and rock pools for the kids to go crabbing. The famous Spa theatre also provides excellent entertainment throughout the year. Guests can take a short land train journey to Sewerby Hall and Gardens, just one of the many stately homes in the area. Burton Agnes and Sledmere are also worth a visit and for those who would like a trip out; you have the fantastic medieval city of York, which is just over an hour away. The beautiful market town of Beverley is just a 30-minute drive away, where you can browse the local shops or even visit the racecourse. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Dogs are not allowed on beds, or on the settees without a cover. If dogs need to be left in the house alone, please could you use the boot room with the stair gate. Please pick up any dog mess in the garden before leaving.

The house and gardens are great, the garden was secure and our 3 red fox Labradors had a great time running around . Everything you needed was in the house and the hosts kept in touch to make sure we had no issues . Big oven was great for cooking tea . Local pub The board inn had great fish and chips just a little too far to walk the dogs safely due to grass verges on busy road . Went daily to Fraisthorpe beach by car as a wonderful beach for dogs. Defiantly would return again to West End Farmhouse . Thank you for letting us stay

This cottage is so peaceful, clean, large garden for everyone. Not much you can complain about. The log burner was lovely and made it cosy. So many places to visit or just a relaxing week.
