Cottage is lovely and has everything you could need. Hot tub at the end of the day is an added bonus. The lake is beautiful and the fishing is very good. Would highly recommend and will return.

The local people are very friendly and will stop and chat to you in the street. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and feels like a home rather than a clinical white walls hotel. The hot tub is just the icing on the cake and under cover so the weather is not an issue. All round lovely place to stay with everything you could possibly need. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately book again.

On our short stay we visited York & Bridlington which was less than 1 hours drive away & Beverley which was less than 30 minutes away also there are local walks to do if you do not want to travel. There is a cafe next door, a local shop just a couple of minutes away or if you prefer you can take a 15 minute walk into the centre where they have a post office/convenience store, Chinese restaurant, fish & chip shop, 3 pubs that allow dogs (2 of these sell food) and also a few other little shops. There was a nice welcome package for us when we arrived & also tea & coffee in case you forget to bring your own. To round it all off there was a hot tub to soak in after returning from a day out, would definitely stay there again if travelling in that area, it is a lovely friendly village.
