The thoughtful touches and warm welcome from the owners contribute to a delightful stay, although accessibility in the shower area may be challenging for some.

Reviewers consistently mention the exceptional cleanliness of Ashtree Cottage, describing it as spotless and well-maintained, which reflects a high standard of hygiene and care.

The cottage is appreciated for its quiet location, convenient access to the coast and countryside, and proximity to local amenities. Some guests note it is a stretch to the North York Moors, indicating a slightly less central location for certain attractions.

Guests report a very comfortable stay, highlighting the king-sized bed, central heating, and wood-burner. The comfort of the living space is frequently commended, although the shower accessibility is noted as a minor issue for those with mobility restrictions.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of a secure garden for pets, a selection of DVDs, and a warm welcome. While some guests mention biscuits and milk, such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed for all stays.

The cottage is overall small in layout. Cottage is located on a lane but bedroom is at the front of property and is exposed to fast traffic using the lane.

Me, my partner and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the recommended local walks mentioned in the welcome pack as well as the other recommendations. The cottage is situated far enough out into the country where it's peaceful and quiet but not too far where it's not inaccessible and makes a great base for days trip and nice walks.
