The Vestry in Huddersfield is a quaint and clean cottage, ideal for couples and walkers. Guests appreciate its peaceful location, comfortable bed, and well-stocked kitchen. While parking can be tight and the space is compact, the property's charm and the friendly hosts make for a pleasant stay. It serves as a great central base for exploring Yorkshire, with local amenities and attractions within easy reach.
Guests consistently mention that The Vestry is very clean, with several reviews highlighting its tidiness and fresh feel. The high level of cleanliness contributes positively to the overall experience.
The location is praised for being peaceful and quiet, perfect for walking and as a central base for exploring local attractions. Some concerns about parking are noted, but the proximity to shops, pubs, and restaurants is well-regarded.
The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, especially the bed. However, some guests find the sofa small and hard, and the open-plan layout can be inconvenient for light and noise if one person wants to sleep while another stays up.
Facilities are adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and good shower pressure. However, there are several mentions of difficulty with heating and parking, and some minor maintenance issues like paintwork are noted.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience with friendly hosts and a well-stocked kitchen, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

Such a wonderful little place to stay, we had a brilliant time! Although it's only small it has everything you could possibly need, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and dishes, tea coffee and sugar is provided, the bed is very comfortable, and the shower is good pressure and lovely and warm. Lots of leaflets for things to do in the local area and even a few history books that show the history of the building and area. The area is beautiful with lots of different walks, loads of fun things to do, we visited an antique store that was close and went to yummy yorkshire, both less than 10 minutes by car. Lots of pubs and restaurants close by, a small local shop in walking distance. In addition to this the hosts who live in the main chapel are super lovely, and are just a text away if you have any issues. Lock box for key so easy check in too. We will definitely be back!

Great location, parking on the road I would suggest is safer unless you have a very small car. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend if somewhat hampered by the weather and both of us having heavy seasonal colds. We would definitely stay again.
