This unique holiday property can be found nestled within a charming chapel conversion in the picturesque village of Denby Dale. Originally the vestry of the chapel, it now offers a cosy escape perfect for two people,. Characterful features have been incorporated in keeping with the historic nature of the building, and underfloor heating ensures an ambient temperature that can be supplemented for an extra touch of comfort during the cooler months. Parking for one car is available outside the property, and there’s a small bench outside to enjoy the fresh air and watch the odd passing horse.

Photos very deceptive. The Vestry is very small. The place could do with a deep clean. Dust and dirt along skirting boards, stains down kitchen cabinets. Very limited kitchen utensils and some very dodgy looking cooking dishes. Chairs very uncomfortable. If the weather had been hot no windows to open only the door onto the road.Seating area outside advertised…. Great if you want to sit on the road!BEWARE of parking in designated spot. We had our car damaged by a passing vehicle… wing mirror knocked off and deep. Scratches in paintwork!Not a place I would recommend.

I found The Vestry to be an ideal cottage for a single traveller. It was very clean and comfortable and close to the motorway for easy access to other areas. I would definitely consider a return visit.

We left after 5 nights as we felt the property was dusty & dirty in places. The oven & freezer wasn’t usable as they were both dirty, the shower head came off the wall on movement.. There was no fire blanket etc and as the bedroom window was too high to climb out we were concerned. The bathroom door had no mechanism to close it, maybe a folding door to the bedroom would be useful.We didn’t feel welcome as there was nothing in the property welcoming us & no welcome from the owners next door.Overall we were very disappointed after reading such good reviews.
