Ribblestones occupies a great position within the popular village of Austwick which has a local shop/post office and pub which serves food as well as a tennis court and children’s play area. There is also an award-winning restaurant within a mile! A wider range of amenities can be found in the bustling market town of Settle, 5 miles away, including some great shops and supermarkets. The popular village of Ingleton, which is just 7 miles away, is well known for its caves and waterfalls and also has an open air swimming pool. Ideally situated in the National Park and with the village adjacent to the highest peak in the dales, you are of no shortage for things to do! Whether it is planning to hike in the mountains, caving in Ingleton, cycling or off road biking there is something for everybody! Beach 25 miles. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Great place to stay with lots to do in the surrounding area a lot of which is a stones throw away. A lovely walk just across the road to the next town of Clapham and caves and hikes just minutes drive away. House itself is comfortable and has almost everything you would need for any length of stay. We didn’t realize there was an en-suite so this was an added bonus. The house is a good size for a family and for dogs. I would say the bed in the master bedroom isn’t the most comfortable but it does the job. The parking isn’t fantastic as it’s in front of a garage and we have a van which would have blocked the end garages access if we used it so we chose to park on the road outside instead which for us wasn’t a big hardship. We did try to contact owner as new sky tv had been installed but was not connected and nobody contacted us back which was quite poor. Luckily it wasn’t a big deal for us but lack of reply was very disappointing. Just glad it wasn’t for anything more serious. Overall we had a great stay here and would recommend and probably stay again if we are in the area. I’d say for the price we paid it was good value for the money.

The location was lovely along with the views from the back of the cottage unfortunately the property wasn’t as clean as expected with dust and cobwebs in various rooms, a refresh would help. We also had issues with parking with the neighbour knocking on the door twice regarding access to the garage which he rents, he also straddled the parking space. I think better communication around the parking and garage before arriving would help and the folder with all the info needs to be reduced as some of the detail is duplicated.

I stayed here with my children for a week. It is well-equipped on the whole. The location is lovely. The local shop and pub are close. There is a footpath across the road, that you can follow through the fields to Clapham. The bunk beds in the front bedroom (no pictures on listing) don't have much head room. The ensuite in the double bedroom is good (again no pictures on listing). The parking is in front of the middle garage at the end of the terrace (not mentioned in listing). The windows, and some other areas, need a right good clean. Overall, great value for money.
