The panelled hall was especially impressive and the property has an interesting history. The kitchen had everything we needed. As is so often the case, there's nowhere to store food in the kitchen, but there's a parlour/utility room with plenty of spare space. We were warm and comfortable during our stay. There are pleasant views across the moors from the master bedroom. It was great having a train station a 1 minute walk away, we went to Leeds on the train one day. The Internet was variable and there was times when we couldn't get online. The twin room smelled a little musty but we saw no evidence of damp and it likely just needed a good airing; the odour was mild & entirely tolerable. All the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. We used the property as a base for visiting Leeds, Ingleborough, Ingelton, Grassington, and Bolton Abbey. The village shop in Clapham is worth a visit. It's quite a drive to the nearest supermarket but we only needed to go the once and did so on the way back from Bolton Abbey. There are also plenty of other options for day trips and walking nearby. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. Owners were pleasant and responsive without being intrusive. There was a nice welcome pack, too. A good value holiday cottage in a superb location.

Would definitely love to visit again and highly recommend to others. Was very thankful for our welcome basket and was made to feel at home by George the owner. See you again next year x

Alas the single bed mattresses are past their usable date, the springs are very worn on one side and its like rolling off a cliff edge all night. The only other issue, and this applys to most cottages we have stayed at, and that is the lack of cupboard space for our food shopping, nearly all cupboards over stocked with too many glasses etc, fortunately there was some space on the work top in the utility room.
