Skipton, well known as The Gateway to the Dales, has a medieval castle, canal boat trips, a swimming pool, golf course, excellent cycling routes, tennis courts and a myriad of walks, including easy rambles and challenging fell walks within close proximity of the town. Also close at hand to this Skipton cottage is a wide selection of restaurants, tea rooms and coffee shops for eating out, whilst the traditional market sells fresh produce throughout the year including local cheeses, fish, meats and fresh vegetables. A lovely Skipton cottage, whatever the time of year.
Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales have to offer. This market town boasts an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. Enjoy a canal trip on a traditional barge or visit Embsay Steam Railway, which has regular steam train excursions at the weekend and is only 1 mile away.

The house had everything necessary for our stay including a nice welcome pack. Lovely being in centre of the town but so peaceful and the outside space was a bonus as we had a few days of beautiful weather. Would certainly book again.

Cottage was warm, clean and comfy. Very convenient for town centre yet very quiet. Washing machine and dishwasher were a bonus. Would certainly come back.
