Nestling in a beautiful woodland setting, Gisburn Forest Lodge is an outstanding holiday lodge that has been hand-built and the attention to detail is evident throughout the stylish accommodation, both inside and out.Park up on the gravelled area in front of the lodge and unpack with ease, admiring the attractive covered balcony area at the front and sneak a glimpse at the fabulous hot tub resting at the side of the property. The tone has already been set that this is a special property and that continues as you walk through the front door where the open-plan living space has that all-important ‘wow’ factor.
With walls panelled in beautiful wood throughout, the feeling of being immersed in the forest helps to create a truly relaxing ambience, enhanced by the ample seating area looking out over the beautiful greenery beyond the front door. Very much set up for outdoor living, there is a picnic bench and a raised decking area with patio furniture and of course the hot tub, which all add together to create a really sociable al fresco space, somewhere you can imagine spending many happy holiday hours. As the stars twinkle above and bedtime beckons, choose from a master double, a twin and a triple bunk bed which should make sure all guests are happy and a family bathroom completes the accommodation.
There are loads of countryside walks from the front door at Gisburn Forest Lodge so keep an eye out for birds and wildlife or jump in the car and head to places of interest such as Malham Cove, Thornton Hall County Park, Kilnsey Park and Bowland Country Park or head out into the Yorkshire Dales to really get into the great outdoors. For a forest break in a stunning hand-built holdiay lodge, you can’t beat booking a holiday at Gisburn Forest Lodge.
Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
